IBS Group's George Gibb Named Risk Manager of the Year
George Gibb, IBS Group's Technical Advisor to Risk Management Indonesia, our wholly-owned subsidiary company, has been named Risk Manager of the Year in the prestigious 2004 Asia Insurance Industry Awards, announced in a gala dinner in Bangkok on 20th November, 2004. IBS Group is pleased and proud to be the first insurance broking or underwriting company in Indonesia to receive such an internationally recognized award.
The Asia Insurance Industry Awards recognize and salute excellence in the insurance industry, including all major multi-national companies, throughout the Asia region. The 2004 Risk Manager selection criteria called for:
- Innovation and creativity in managing companies' risks and challenges; and
- The promotion of risk management as a philosophy and business discipline, both within the company and in Asia.
The Risk Improvement Plan, a formalized and practical risk management system tailored to Indonesian working conditions and which was developed and successfully implemented for IBS Group clients in 2003, was cited as one of the key reasons for George's selection.
