Swandi has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He started his insurance career in 1988 at AIG Insurance Indonesia as a Management Trainee and worked his way up the ranks to become its Director in 1997. He was later promoted to be the Vice President Director in 2003, a position he held until his resignation in 2010 to join IBS Group.
During his tenure in AIG, Swandi was involved in practically all aspects and areas of the organization among others in the underwriting, claims, operations, marketing and distribution channels. His earlier years in the company was more in the managing of the company’s Claims department, building up the company’s reputation as a trusted and reliable company clients could count on in the event of claims. In the later part of his career there, he was instrumental in expanding the company’s branch networks, agency and bancassurance capabilities.
After he joined IBS, with the support from his colleagues, Swandi restructured and revamped the companies within IBS Group to become more resilient, costumer-focused and sustainable, with international best practices for the eventual benefits of the stakeholders.
Swandi graduated from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia majoring in Electrical Engineering. He is also a certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers (CIIB).

Director
Setia is an industry practitioner with more than 33 years insurance experience in Indonesia and Asia. He has held various senior management roles both in the insurance companies and insurance brokers during this span of time.
Prior to joining IBS, Setia was the Country Head of Jardine Llyod Thompson Indonesia as well as an executive of JLT’s Asia Management Team. He has played a pivotal role in identifying and developing business areas with growth potential including Employee Benefits, Affinity and the SME segments.
Setia has diverse experience in corporate & consumer insurance services, across a range of vocations. His specialties include Major Corporate risk management and insurance programs, and Financial Lines particularly in developing Comprehensive Crime Insurance packages reflective of the major catastrophe exposures faced by major banks – a historically challenging task.
Setia has been instrumental in making IBS as one of the leading organizations in the country, especially in leading the IBS broking and servicing teams in generating sustainable rapid growth of the company while maintaining service excellence to IBS clients.
Setia is a certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers (CIIB).
